I NO!! Architecture again. But this is what the course makes me do.
This months brief explain that I was working for Southbank and trying to sell the look of their buildings. Promoting Southbank Institutes buildings with a 120mm Mamyia and some Velvia 100 Film was a bit exhausting.
The images come off with abstract feel not only a look. The lines lead the viewers eyes one way then another but a feel of confusion when the viewer gets to the end of one line and wonders what line to follow next. There is also a feel of attraction to the images in the lighter and darker toned areas. The light areas lead your eyes in, to create a focal point, and the darker areas lead you away. So people tend to look at these images starting at the darker areas following the lines to the lighter areas, in swift movement. The sky's are full of negative space which keeps the viewers total focus on the buildings.
